House extensions in High Wycombe and Buckinghamshire
More space, without the stress of moving. We build extensions that look like they were always part of the house and are finished properly inside and out.
What we do
- Single storey rear and side extensions
- Double storey extensions
- Wraparound extensions
- Loft and garage conversions
- Opening up walls with steel beams
- Matching brickwork, roof tiles and windows to the existing house
Living in the house while it is being built is a worry for most people. We talk it through before we start: where the dust will be, when the kitchen will be out of action and how we will keep the site tidy and safe.
We agree the price and the programme in writing first. If you find something you want to change along the way, we will tell you the cost before we do it.
House Extensions: your questions
Do I need planning permission for an extension?
Not always. Many single storey extensions can be built under permitted development, but it depends on your house, any earlier extensions and whether you are in a conservation area. You will almost always need building regulations approval. We can point you in the right direction.
Do I need a party wall agreement?
If you are building on or close to the boundary with a neighbour, you may need one under the Party Wall Act. It is worth checking early, because it can affect the start date.
How long does an extension take?
It depends on the size and the design. We give you a realistic programme with your quote, and we keep you updated if anything moves.
Got a job in mind?
